Village Plumbing And Air

This has been one of the most disappointing contractor experiences we’ve had. Village Plumbing installed a tankless hot water heater that failed a City of Houston inspection and was red-tagged. After corrective work, a follow-up inspection was needed. Instead of coordinating the inspection properly, an inspector (who did not identify himself or request entry to the house) accessed our fenced backyard without notice or permission. This incident was frightening because I was home alone and had no idea who this stranger was. We immediately reported this to Savanna at Village Plumbing, who said the inspection would be rescheduled. No follow-up ever occurred. Village Plumbing did not reschedule an inspection. The City of Houston Permitting Office confirmed that Village Plumbing’s most recent inspection request was on January 16. Instead of Village Plumbing scheduling an inspection, a certified letter threatening legal action and a lien was sent. The letter claimed we “refused inspection,” which is completely false. We have always been willing to cooperate, just not with unauthorized entry onto our property. We have paid over $12,000, yet were met with silence followed by threats rather than professionalism or problem-solving. If you value clear communication, safety, and respectful treatment as a homeowner, I would proceed with caution.
