Hank Stevens Painting

I’m sad to share that unlike many of the reviews here we did not have a good experience with Hank and his crew. I shared all of this feedback with Hank, but we honestly felt like we had to manage the crew and the project which was exhausting and annoying. Hank was hardly on site, and the work we discussed in the bid was either not communicated to the team and/or not executed. His team consistently cut corners creating more work for themselves later, left our yard a mess each day when they left, and tried to start painting after only a few hours of prep work. I’m highly disappointed and wish we had gone with someone else.

We had ****, AZ, ***** and ***** at our home painting replacing siding and so on. First, we were told end of August maybe, then end of July then I got a call that things had been moved up. GREAT. The next day without telling us when they were coming they were at our front door. And **** was barking orders at us to get our home ready to paint. During this time we moved our patio cover, fire pit and such, which was never actually moved back, which would take four or five guys to move back… It was rather unsettling. Some plants were just destroyed or painted. I didn’t see primer go on and there are gaps where things got sealed and other things didn’t. **** gave us a bid and that was the reason we went with him, however, the cost ended being almost double what the bid said. It was rather unsettling–**** refused to discuss payment before the job or two payments after, but all we got from his is no “we don’t do that” —umm. Ultimately, they are gone and left A LOT of leftovers to do and cleanup to do. I mean lots of patch/paint touching up–more paint work than was left for us to even do it ourselves—we would literally have to go buy more paint. We have toddlers and nails and cigarettes were left all over, trash, paint on the driveway and common/public sidewalk, back patio and sticky strips on the driveway where things had once been taped off. Our front door handle is broken as well as a drain pipe that just randomly fell off…I mean the whole experience was “rough and ready” and when we asked them to make the trim pieces right he said “we don’t do that” or things like ” that’s a lot of work” We did our best to communicate but felt intimidated by the process.
